Well this couple certainly know how to draw a crowd! Engi (from South Africa) and Cathal (from Ireland) now live in London, and their guests flew from near and far to join them for this epic wedding celebration. Set in the most gorgeous grounds at Lourensford, with mountain views, giant oak trees and no-cost-spared landscaping. Paired with a glamorous and modern venue with it’s piece-de-resistance being the elegant, wide staircase down to the ceremony lawn. Engi said that this had been her childhood dream for her bridal entrance, and the wind just added to her dramatic entrance as billows of veil elegantly flowed behind her. In the evening the rosy hues basked the autumn trees and joyful crowd in golden glow, sparkling lights dotted the venue, and the evening unfolded into great entertainment. The bridal party entered in flashmob style, and each speech was kicked off with a cultural dance attaining to the speaker’s homeland, with all the guests. The couple had met each other in Mpumalanga around the fireside one evening, so they decided that incorporating fire at their wedding would be a special tribute to the place they met. They invited two fire dancers who did a blessing around the couple and then a spectacular performance to music, ending a massive burst of sparks. Thanks to Tabitha of Illuminate Photography for inviting me to second shoot alongside her.
